Located at the northern edge of Chesapeake Bay, the Greater Baltimore area

station in America, the B&O
Railroad Museum in Ellicott
City highlights the history of early transportation in the United
States. Other history-related sites include the Fire
Museum of Maryland in Lutherville
and the Hampton
National Historic Site in Towson.
Baltimore is home to Major
League Baseball's Baltimore
Orioles, playing from March through October, and the National Football League's
Baltimore
Ravens, playing from September through December. Visitors can shop throughout
the region, from the Mall
